All hail the blobfish


My essence feels a bit like this at the moment. I've come back from a long, arguably pointless chemist-job work meeting to face an essay I've made no progress on despite an entire afternoon's work, and I still haven't managed to choose 3 movies to use as examples of 'matte painting', and it's stopping me getting on with everything else I still have to do. This question is so broad yet so obscure, and it feels like I've got a perpetual mental blank. Bleeegh....

I want to go down 20,000 leagues for a holiday in my as-yet unfinished steampunk aquarium matte painting; at least there are other blobfish there :/

Especially the gross little drooping bit in the right corner of it's "mouth".

Ahahahaha I know! It's some deep-sea fish or something. Personally I think it looks like Elmer Fudd. Sorry it grossed you out <:)

Awwwww! My poor blobfish girlfriend! I'm going to give you a hug anyway, even if I have to avert my eyes a little. Hope you're not tooo slimy.

Hallo Rhi!

Long time no talk! How are things? Good, I hope. I just wanted to drop by and see how you were. I haven't really been on lj much lately, mostly just deviantart. But if you want to lj me back, I gots a new one at [info]mollykami. I think I made it a while back and then in August I decided I might as well use it!

And as for your blobfishery, I say chin up, soldier! A friend of mine once told me not to get down about such things but try, try again until you succeed! (That friend was you, by the way. ;) )
